Year it all began: 2010
A quick introduction: Sky Terminal is a melodic vocal and guitar driven rock band from Toronto, Ontario. Known both both energetic live shows and moving acoustic performances, Sky Terminal has been performing from coast to coast across the country. The band released their Juno nominated debut album “Don’t Close Your Eyes” in April 2011. The band has just recently released their sophomore album “We Are One”.
What got you into music? Songwriter / Vocalist Marcel Preston recounts how when he was a teenager, his mother would offer him the option to either do chores or practice the guitar. That one was a no brainer. Once creativity began to be unleashed, there was no turning back.
What are your sources of inspiration? “I find that inspirations for the music we write often comes from moments in life that we have felt personally impacted by a circumstance or feeling. For example, I received an email from a fan a few months ago. He mentioned that he heard the song playing on the radio in Calgary. After he mentioned that he illegally downloaded it, he proceed to mention that the song helped save his life. I believe that every lyric counts. As song writers, we are given a window into people’s lives. I don’t want to take that for granted. That email led to writing the newest single “Say Hello”. It’s about the weight of our words and actions in people’s lives.” – Marcel
Dream gig? We’ll go with Wembley Stadium. Would also take a sell out crowd at the ACC.

- Lead singer and songwriter Marcel, initially started touring as drummer for a band called Cheese Monkeys
- Sky Terminal’s first album “”Don’t Close Your Eyes”” received a Juno nomination. It was self produced and recorded in lead singer Marcel’s personal studio. The new album “”We Are One”” was just released in April 2014 and was also self produced and engineered.
