In recent years Kaitlin’s performed at various Songwriters’ Circles/Showcases, Festivals, Gala’s, Anti-Bullying Campaigns, Fundraising Events, and various live music establishments in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This past year, Kaitlin has released two singles to Country radio, “Do It Again” and “Wrong”. In recent months, she has also been named Artist Spokesperson for Global Angel Charitable Organization. When she’s not performing or songwriting, you may find her at a Toronto Maple Leafs game as one of their anthem singers.

What got you into music? I grew up surrounded by country music, I knew I was in love with it and wanted to pursue it from a very early age. My parents always had country music playing, I loved it and was so fascinated by it! My Grandmother Yvonne was probably my biggest influence, we’d have sing-songs and play our favourite country songs and gospel songs for hours on end. Some of my favourite memories were making music with my Grandma! . I’m so in love with making music; I feel very blessed to get to do it.

What are your sources of inspiration? I find inspiration in many things; everyday life, my family and friends, quotes, my grandparents, other artists. I’m constantly inspired in various ways, and as an artist, I hope it comes through in my writing and performing.

Dream gig? To play the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium!!!

Your thoughts on Canadian Music Week? I think it’s brilliant! So much Canadian talent packed into one week of showcases, conferences, workshops, etc. It’s humbling and you feel a great sense of pride. The past couple of years I’ve come out to CMW to see different performances and showcases, so to be involved this year and have a showcase is such a thrill! Thanks CMW!!

Interesting points others don’t know about you? 100% unrelated to music, but another love & passion – I love to waterski!
