The inaugural SuperFan ComicCon will kick off this Victoria Day weekend at the Better Living Centre, featuring a cool line-up of guests, attractions and more. It’s always overwhelming to enter a massive convention and figure out what to do, so we’ve made a list of some of the events key happenings you should be checking out.
Want to become a cosplayer or get a few tips to take your cosplaying to the next level? Veteran cosplayers Vickybunnyangel and Shantel Knight (aka Zombie Bit Me) share their experiences, tips and ideas in an open-forum style workshop on Saturday. Nothing like getting some advice from pros right?
The comic convention, like others, will be attended by many celebrity guests, giving fans the perfect opportunity to get up-close and personal with their favourite star. This year, you get to catch stars such as Steve Lund and Natalie Brown, who are both currently on hit sci-fi show Bitten. A Superman buff? Margot Kidder (Lois Lane) and Valerie Perrine (Eve Teschmacher) will both be at the convention this year! You can also “attempt” to get yourself a soup from Seinfeld’s Larry Thomas.
Comics, Toys and Cars!
Two cool cars are going to be featured at SFCC: a replica of the Knight Rider car K.I.T.T. and the 1989 Batmobile, AKA the Keaton Car! Also, interact with our friends the Ontario Ghostbuster’s and check out cool, screen accurate gear. If you are a pure comic person, there will be many vendors and comic artists during the three day weekend to fulfill that requirement!
Aaron and Melanie Knox – master face and body artists – will show off their creative airbrushing skills at the SFCC 2014, creating cool full-body works of art. Visitors will get a chance to experience the magic too. A select number of face styles will be available for a very small fee. Don’t miss out on seeing these artists work their art.
