John Rhys Davies. Beginning his big screen journey in the early 70’s, Davies has been a part of many exciting TV and film projects. His most well known roles are Sallah – the charismatic Arab excavator in the Indiana Jones film series – and Gimli – the highly energetic and fierce dwarf from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Davies will spend three days at Fan Expo 2012, kicking-off his visit on Friday with a Q&A session for his fans. Even at 68, he shows amazing energy and ability to charm the audience. I missed his talk on Friday… but I was there yesterday (Sunday) and met John Rhys Davies and got his autograph. He really spent quality time with each person in line. Incredibly kind and incredibly gracious. It was a treat of a lifetime!
