For its fourth year, Telefilm Canada and Maison Birks have partnered up to celebrate outstanding Canadian women in the film and television industries at the 2016 Birks Diamond Tribute. Celebrated during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, the event honours the achievements of twelve distinguished women who have made great advances within film, have pushed barriers to create new opportunities, and have paved the way to grow Canada’s footprint within film globally.

These women were picked by a pan-Canadian jury of 20 journalists and bloggers from the world of arts and entertainment. The 2016 Birks Diamond Tribute took place at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto, attended by a large number of Canada’s prominent talent, media elite, and respective guests.
