TIFF 2014: Top Five Films of the Festival

#2: St. Vincent

It has been said that I lack a sense of humour, yet the comic drama St. Vincent left me laughing at every turn – when I wasn’t choking back tears. Dryly funny yet also genuinely moving, this film hits every single mark. Boasting yet another memorable performance from the incredible Bill Murray, the work also allows the young newcomer Jaeden Lieberher and the new-to-drama Melissa McCarthy the opportunity to shine. Like its protagonist, this film truly has a heart of gold, and will please audiences universally.
