If you’ve watched any major television show or even played games from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, you’ve probably seen a character played or voiced by Cristina Rosato.
Born in Montréal, Québec, Rosato is a multitalented, multilingual actress known for her diverse roles, both on screen and within voice work. Her interest in the arts began at a very young age, and while attending University for a very different career line, she jumped ship and went on to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles to fulfill her dream to become an actress. She was mentored by acting coach Jacqueline McCllintock, who passed away in 2012.
Her experience in film and TV is far and wide. She has appeared, as mentioned before, in pretty much every major television show in Canada. She’s booked roles on Murdoch Mysteries, Republic of Doyle, Lost Girl and Rookie Blue, and has a recurring role on Radio-Canada’s long running French TV series Trauma. She is scheduled to appear in the new TVA series Les Jeunes Loup. Notable film roles include Territories (something we discuss quite a bit in the interview), Perfect Plan and Son of Morning.
Rosato brings her incredible voice talent, coupled with her multilingual background, to the world of video games. She has been involved with the highly acclaimed Assassin’s Creed franchise, voicing Caterina Sforza in Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Melanie Lemay in the newly released Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
