David Sutcliffe and Brooke Nevin discuss ‘Cracked’ Season 2 – Interview

As CBC’s Season Preview, we got a chance to sit down with cast members David Sutcliffe and newly-added Brooke Nevin about Cracked season 2.

Cracked is a Canadian procedural drama series created Tracey Forbes and Calum de Hartog, following the newly created Psych Crimes Unit within a Canadian police department. The team is led by experienced SWAT officer Detective Aidan Black (David Sutcliffe). The team – a mixture of trained police officers and psychiatrists – is responsible for responding to cases of psychological nature, dealing with disturbed criminals, victims and witnesses. The show premiered on CBC Television on January 8th, 2013, one of only three new shows announced as part of the new CBC lineup.

David Sutcliffe is a veteran Canadian actor from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is best known for playing the recurring character Christopher Hayden on Gilmore Girls as well as Officer Kevin Nelson on Private Practice. He has a number of other TV credits to his name as well, including I’m With HerThe Division and Cold Feet. Other film credits include The Wish List (2010), Inconceivable (2008) and Snow Wonder (2005).

A fellow Torontonian, Brooke Nevin is no stranger to the world of procedurals. She starred as analyst Julianne Simms on crime drama series Breakout Kings. She has also starred in numerous other productions such as Chicago Fire, NCIS and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Other credits to her name include Sonja Lester on Call Me FitzNikki Hudson on The 4400 and Claudel on Jordan Galland’s Alter Egos (2012). She joins season 2 of Cracked as Dr. Clara Malone.

Cracked returns to CBC with season 2 on September 30 at 9pm.
