Saturday, September 21st, was a true celebration of Canadian talent. The 2013 Canada’s Walk of Fame, celebrating its 15th anniversary, brought out enthusiasts from all industries to celebrate the work and accomplishments of a select few proud Canadians.
Since 1998, Canada’s Walk of Fame has aimed to create a permanent place of tribute and recognition for Canadian achievement. An annual event, individuals from every background – including philanthropy, entertainment and sports – are brought under the spotlight to celebrate what they have achieved in their careers and what impact they have made on Canada and its people.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2013, Canada’s Walk of Fame selected a number of prominent Canadians to be given the immortal star. They include:
- Bob Ezrin
- Carly Rae Jepsen – Allan Slaight Award
- Terry Fox
- Victor Garber
- Craig Kielburger
- Marc Kielburger
- Oscar Peterson – Cineplex Legends Award

A number of prominent individuals walked the red carpet outside the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres to support this years inductees. They included Music Producer and Canada’s Walk of Fame Inductee David Foster, Singer Burton Cummings, Rockstar Alice Cooper, Alan Thicke’s Growing Pains co-star Joanna Kerns, Sportscaster Brian Williams and many more.
We had the extreme pleasure of interviewing many of the guests and inductees, including Carly Rae Jepsen, Victor Garber and Alan Thicke. Watch our interview video above, including a live performance by Canadian Musician Karl Wolf.
