The Boys Are Back – The Expendables 2

The boys with the guns are coming back, making 2012 a little more “explosive”. When The Expendables released in 2010, a new generation of action film was born. A simple collection of TV’s best tough-guys from the last couple of decades, tons of crates filled with explosives and a bazillion cases full of bullets. A symphony of stuff going boom! One thing we did forget though: sometimes, things just get MORE awesome.

Ladies & Gentleman: EXPENDABLES 2! The sequel takes off after the first film, bringing back the short-lived introduction of Mr. Church (Bruce Willis), who’s back in a bad mood to retrieve his money from Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone). After Ross & his team of mercenaries take on a seemingly walk-in-the-park job from Church, things go horribly wrong when one of their own is brutally killed. With even bigger problems to deal with, they are dead set on one thing: revenge. When the expendables want revenge, and its personal, you know whats going to happen.

The sequel brings back most of the original crew including Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews)  & Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone). Joining the team are Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) & Maggie (Yu Nan), the first female expendable! Girl with a gun…nice! Including the return of Mr. Church we see a more prominent role of Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger), another independent mercenary.

The highlights, however, are the two additional new cast members: Jean-Claude Van Damme & Chuck Norris. Two of the most iconic martial-arts gurus are going to be in the same film along with all the other people listed above. Epicness just got a whole new meaning.

We all love a good story and the first film definitely had one. With that said, you only really want one thing with a movie like this. You just want to see TV’s most iconic action personalities do what they do best: BLOW STUFF UP!

Check out the awesome teaser trailer below! The film has a release date of August 17th 2012. Excited for this film? Leave your comments below!
