Nicole Munoz discusses Adam MacDonald’s ‘Pyewacket’ at TIFF 2017

After a full four years, we finally had the opportunity to catch up with Nicole Munoz, whom you’ll recognize for playing Christie McCawley in hit television show Defiance. Our last chat was all about her and her start in the career, in addition to her role on Defiance. Now we got an opportunity to connect with her about her starring role in an exciting feature film by Adam MacDonald called Pyewacket, making its world debut at TIFF 2017.

Art by Jean-François Caron, from Beloeil Québec, provided a stunning backdrop to this wonderful catch up session. A big thanks to Beauchamp Art Gallery for coordinating this.

Be sure to catch the last screening of Pyewacket on Saturday, September 16th, 7pm at Scotiabank Theatre 7.

I still can’t believe its been four years since our last conversation with Nicole Munoz. This multi-skilled talent from Vancouver, British Columbia, has put in the work to differentiate herself in the industry. She had many projects under her belt well before Defiance, including projects like Defying Gravity, Hemlock Grove, Supernatural and much more.

Her portrayal of Christie McCawley on Defiance displayed her acting depth, something that she has continue to do project after project. In our first conversation she mentioned her love for dance, which she demonstrated playing Bella Parker in the TV Movie Center Stage: On Pointe.

She stars in Adam MacDonald’s Pyewacket with a number of talented talent including Laurie Holden, Missy Peregrym, Chloe Rose, and Eric Osborne.
