Ric Esther Bienstock Honoured with Gordon Sinclair Award for Broadcast Journalism

 

Emmy award winning documentary filmmaker Ric Esther Bienstock added another accolade to her ever-growing list by being honoured at the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards with the Gordon Sinclair Award for Broadcast Journalism.

Bienstock received her award on the first of two Industry Gala’s, aimed at celebrating the achievements in the world of News & Sports, Documentary, Lifestyle, Reality and Digital Media. Her recent film, Tales From the Organ Trade, was also up for a number of awards, later taking home the Barbara Sears Award for Best Editorial Research, Best Original Music for a Non-Fiction Program or Series, Best Writing in a Documentary Program or Factual Series, and the Donald Brittain Award for Best Social/Political Documentary Program.

Tales From the Organ Trade was also nominated for two Emmy Awards.
