2015 Canadian Screen Awards: Industry Gala 2 Photos

Day 2 of the Industry Award presentations, another step towards the highly anticipated 2015 Canadian Screen Awards red carpet gala on Sunday. The second round of awards were presented last night, Wednesday, February 25th, concluding the industry award presentations during Canadian Screen Week.

The second Industry Gala event celebrated the achievements of those within the Drama, Children’s or Youth, Comedy and Variety categories. Hosted again by Comedian Darrin Rose at the Sheraton Centre Toronto, the full-of-buzz event presented a total of 48 awards, bringing the total to 98 awards on both industry nights. The evening featured a number of highlights. Orphan Black took away eight awards that evening, including Best Direction, Best Photography and Best Supporting Actor in the Drama category. Long-running Degrassi took home four awards; Don McKellar’s Sensitive Skin snapped up three awards; and Call Me Fitz and Murdoch Mysteries took home two awards each.

Like the first evening, a number of special, previously-announced awards were presented as well. These included:

  • Academy Icon Award: Insight Productions Company Ltd.
  • Margaret Collier Award: Tassie Cameron
  • Earle Grey Award: Paul Gross
  • Academy Board of Directors’ Tribute: George Anthony

We were on-hand to capture all the fun before, during and after the award ceremony. Take a look at all the photos from the second Industry Gala below. Interviews with talent from both day 1 and 2 coming very soon.
