We sit down for a chat with actress Luisa d’Oliveira, currently playing Detective Poppy Wisnefski on hit CBC television show Cracked.
Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Luisa d’Oliveira was introduced to the world of cinema both by her library and her friday night “family at the cinema” outings. She was also heavily involved with the arts all throughout school, taking part in a number of school events and productions. The interesting fact is, she never intended to pursue acting professionally, intending instead to go to university to study Biology and Chemistry. When she re-discovered her love for acting, she simply changed directions and never looked back.
d’Oliveira currently plays Detective Poppy Wisnefski on CBC’s Cracked, a young and ambitious member of the force struggling to make her mark. She has been involved in numerous other projects over the past few years, including guest roles on productions such as Psych, Supernatural and The Secret Circle. She has also been a part of many feature films, with most recent projects including 50/50, The Package and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.
Enjoy the interview!
