We interview Canadian businessman Kevin O’Leary – best known for his role on CBC’s Dragons’ Den – about his current photography exhibit, Kevin O’Leary – 40 Years of Photography
Kevin O’Leary – 40 Years of Photography is a fine art photography exhibit, featuring original prints taken by Kevin O’Leary over the many years, most of them during his travels and collaborations. Soon to tour across Canada, this exhibition is currently featured at Brookfield’s First Canadian Place Gallery, a partner on the project. The exhibition features 25 photographs from his personal collection, almost all available for purchase. The prints are given museum-level treatment, printed on the highest quality paper and presented with the finest framing and finishing touches.
The purpose of the project is to inspire young teenage entrepreneurs, and as such, O’Leary will donate all the profits from the sale of his photographs to aspiring entrepreneurs via a unique partnership with the CBC. O’Leary and CBC present the Future Dragon contest, an online contest that will allow young, teenage entrepreneurs in Grade’s 11 and 12 to submit their business idea via a three minute video and compete to win $5,000 (given to someone every week) towards their project.
The contest is now open and teens can register HERE. Winners will be announced every week until mid-March 2014. The first prize will be announced on the same day as the student edition of Dragons’ Den, happening on November 13th, 2013, at 8pm.
The exhibit is on until November 15th at First Canadian Place, before it tours across various cities in Canada. Here are the specifics you need to know:
