Canada is home to the production of some of the greatest television shows and Monday January 9th 2011 was the kick start to two of Canada’s best: Republic of Doyle & Mr. D.
Republic of Doyle is about Malachy Doyle (Seán McGinley) and Jake Doyle (Allan Hawco), father and son, who partner together as private investigators in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. This is the third-season for the show, bringing in new faces, new adventures and new things to complicate Jake’s life. Speaking of new faces: RUSSELL CROWE is a guest star. You can say OMG now.
Mr. D is based around stand-up comedian Gerry Dee and his experiences as a former private school teacher. Its all about an under-qualified teacher trying to fake his way through a teaching job, just as he keeps faking life!
