Sean Astin attends the two-day Toronto ComiCon, attracting fans from all his major films. He is best know for playing the role of Samwise “Sam” Gamgee in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He is also known for his performance as Mikey Walsh in 1985’s The Goonies, a performance that got him the Young Artist Award for Best Starring Performance by a Young Actor. He currently voices Raphael in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series.
In the coming months, Sean Astin can be seen on the big screen in Luke Moran’s The Boys of Abu Ghraib opposite Sara Paxton and Michael Welch; Chuck Powers’ Ribbit opposite Tim Curry and Russell Peters; and Kaare Andrews’ Cabin Fever: Patient Zero opposite Jillian Murray and Brando Eaton. These are just a few of his upcoming productions.
At the 2013 Toronto ComiCon, Sean Astin did a good long Q&A session with fans, where he first made introductions, gave some insight into his career before moving on to questions from the fans. The room was buzzing with excitement and every just enjoyed every moment of that session. Best part? He made his fan’s do the harlem shake, which we caught on video!
