An Evening With Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann

Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann. A powerhouse couple who demonstrate sheer talent in everything they do. Apatow has become widely known for his adventures in comedy, having directed and written many films over the years. Mann, by the same token, is also known for her work in comedy, with many of her works done in collaboration with her husband.  These include 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Drillbit Taylor and Funny People. She was given the title of  “Hollywood’s queen of comedy” by Elle Magazine earlier this year.

The dynamic duo bring us yet another collaboration with This Is 40, scheduled for release on December 21st 2012. Directed, written and produced by Apatow, this comedy is a spin-off  and “sort-of sequel” to Knocked Up, featuring the same characters as seen in Knocked Up. We see Debbie & Pete (characters from Knocked Up) fight their way through marriage and the other things that come with married life, including kids, work, and much more.

Toronto was given a special treat with an intimate conversation with Apatow and Mann. Brought to us by the Canadian Film Centre & Telefilm Canada, the event was held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and was hosted by Toronto’s movie guru Richard Crouse.  Even Eugene Levy stopped by to lend some words!

The Art Scene’s Marc Levy was on scene to capture some of the moments from the evening, seen in the gallery below. 9CWZVBWQDPRZ
