The Who’s Pete Townshend in Toronto for Exclusive Book Event

In 1964, the world was taken by storm by the creation of The Who, a British rock band formed by Roger Daltrey, Pete TownshendJohn Entwistle and Keith Moon. After Keith Moon passed away in 1978, the band did two more albums with drummer Kenney Jones before disbanded in 1983. They had a few reunions in between but it wasn’t until 1996 that the band would get back together again and continue their music journey. For Entwistle, it was cut rather short; he passed away in 2002 due to a heart attack.

The Who played Quadrophenia at the Air Canada Centre on November 23rd, a part of their 2012-2013 world tour. Chapters Indigo hosted an exclusive event the day before, on November 22nd, with The Who’s legendary English rock guitarist, vocalist & songwriter Pete Townshend. An evening event attended by hundreds of fans, Townshend did a short on-stage interview with broadcaster and music writer Alan Cross, followed by an autograph session for his biography Who I Am.
