The Woman In Black – Toronto Premiere

When red carpet events couldn’t get more crazy, Alliance Films took it up a notch. Toronto received a special treat by being host to the “black carpet” premiere for Daniel Radcliffe’s new movie The Woman In Black. Best part? Daniel was in attendance!

The young actor rose to fame when he was first cast as the spectacle-wearing Harry Potter way back in 2001. Eight films later, we see an all-grown-up Daniel. After being a part of the highest-grossing film series of all-time ($7.7 billion!), Daniel has dabbled in a little bit of everything. He kicked off his stage career with Peter Shaffer’s Equus & recently as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Now he tries his hand in Horror.

The Woman In Black, directed by James Watkins & written by Jane Goldman, is based on a book by the same name written by Susan Hill. It revolves around a young lawyer by the name of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) who, while trying to get over the death of his wife and caring for his sickly son, visits a remote village to take care of some legal work of a recently deceased lady. Curious around the mystery of her death & apparent suicides in the village, Kipps digs deeper only to be thrown into a world of paranormal activity, one that could threaten his own life. The Woman In Black has also been adapted as a stage play in London’s West End and has been on stage since 1989, running for over 22 years!

With many media & fans in attendance at the Scotiabank Theatre, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. In the midst of the chaos, with the media pit being overrun by fans, photos and videos did not come out as planned. Nonetheless, here are some photos and a short video to share.
