Synopsis/Overview: Mercy Was A Lion is a short film, written by Julie Sype, that follows Asher, a 9-year-old boy with a variety of interests: astronomy, biking and annoying his Doctor. The loss of his mother seems to be a catalyst for his need for attention; however, no one quite understands his true intentions. Asher is on a mission to help his nurse “Blondie” rekindle her relationship with her estranged daughter, feeling that his mothers memories will not be lost if he teaches someone else to be a better mom.
