Bring on The Drama: Bobbi Brown Cosmetics introduces the Couture Drama Eye Shadow Palette for Fall 2019

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics surprised all of us with the launch of the Molten Drama Eye Palette earlier this year, featuring a variety of funky chrome and metallic shades. This set was like nothing I had seen from the brand before, mostly known for its nude and subtle skin-focused shades. It was a step in a new direction from the founder’s original vision of focusing on individual beauty, to exploring more glamorous and bold layers on individual identity.

We were surprised by Molten back in February and were surprised yet again when Bobbi Brown Cosmetics released the new Couture Drama Eye Shadow Palette. This latest addition to the eye shadow options provides a much warmer selection of colours compared to the Molten palette, providing an exquisite selection for the fall season.

This high-pigment 10-shade palette includes matte, shimmer-wash, chrome-metal, and metallic shadows that can be applied dry or wet, and provide a bold, sophisticated pairing that will compliment your fall style.

The shades included are:

  • Eye Shadows:
    • Silk Sash (mid-tone pink)
    • Twist of Fate (warm rich brown)
    • Hidden Pearl (white cream matte)
  • Chrome Eye Shadows:
    • Cocktail Ring (light silvery-pink metal)
    • Tuxedo Black (deep blue-black metallic)
    • Midnight Walk (rich burnt red metal)
  • Shimmer Wash Eye Shadows:
    • Frost Rose (light taupe shimmer)
    • Atelier (light pink shimmer)
  • Metallic Eye Shadows:
    • Sequin (light gold metal)
    • Golden Gala (cool-toned pale gold)

This is a very versatile, and usable palette. It lets you shade, line, and define with fashion-forward hues and high-impact finishes. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous; a solid and sturdy box paired with a good size mirror. Each colour formula is pigmented and easy-to-blend. The metallics are buttery, and the mattes glides on very smoothly. The shimmers do have a little bit of fall out though.

I really love the colours in this palette, each perfect for creating a variety of fall looks. The two most usable colours – Atelier and Hidden Pearl – are conveniently offered in bigger pans, giving you the most bang for your buck. If you are a shopping around for a unique fall look, I would definitely have a look at this palette when you are in the beauty section next. It provides variety that would compliment a number of skin tones, and is worth a look.

 Pro Tip:

  • Pair it with their Smokey Eye Mascara and Long Wear Gel Eye-Liner for a perfect fall look.
  • Dampen your brush before applying to amplify the payoff.
  • Apply Hidden Pearl all over the lid to neutralize eyelid discoloration before starting your look.
  • Layer different shades and finishes for a multidimensional eye look.
