Family Channel’s hit teen-focused show, The Next Step, returned on March 7 for its second season. To celebrate the return of the show and its many fans, the show held its first ever red carpet event at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, attended by both cast and crew and hundreds of fans.
The Next Step, a teen drama shot in a reality television style, follows the lives of The Next Step Studio A-Troupe dancers while they practice and compete for large dance competitions. It follows the dancers and their relationship with one another, mixing elements of drama, performance and more. It can be easily described as “Bold and the Beautiful meets 90210, for teens”. The show is shot in Toronto.
The cast and crew in attendance at the first ever red carpet for the show included writer Rachael Schaefer, creator Frank Van Keeken, Brittany Raymond, Alexandra Beaton, Bree Wasylenko, Samantha Grecchi, Logan Fabbro, Taveeta Szymanowicz, Jennifer Pappas, Brennan Clost, Trevor Tordjman, Victoria Baldesarra, Isaac Lupien, Francesca Van Keeken and Lamar Johnson.
