At the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards Broadcast Gala on Sunday, March 9th, Watermark – a documentary film by Jennifer Baichwal and Edward Burtynsky – took home the top prize of “Best Documentary”.

Celebrating its world premiere at TIFF 2013, Watermark explores one of our planets most important resources: water. Filmmaker Jennifer Baichwal and environmental photographer Edward Burtynsky reunite –  after their triumphant collaboration on Manufactured Landscapes – to spotlight how humanity has affected an important resource that is a necessity for our survival. The film explores all corners of the earth, presenting different scenarios in beautiful imagery to let individuals reflect on a resource we take for granted.

We chat with filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal & Nicholas de Pencier after their win at the award ceremony.

Enjoy the interview.
