Sudz Sutherland is one of Canada’s finest directors. At the recent 2014 Canadian Screen Awards Industry Gala, Sutherland won the award for “Best Direction in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series” for his work on CBC’s The Phantoms.
He made his feature film debut with 2003’s Love, Sex and Eating the Bones, a film that won him the Best Canadian First Feature Film Award at TIFF 2003. His latest feature was Home Again – starring Tatyana Ali, Stephan James & Lyriq Bent – which played at TIFF 2013. Apart from feature film and documentary work, Sutherland has been involved with numerous television shows, directing episodes of shows such as Murdoch Mysteries, Heartland, Cracked, Beauty and the Beast, and Degrassi: The Next Generation.
