Interview with Jesse Eisenberg about Now You See Me

Toronto gets the odd treat with a red carpet premiere and on May 29th, Jesse Eisenberg was in town to celebrate the Canadian Premiere of his new film, Now You See Me.

Eisenberg is best known for playing Mark Zuckerberg in the award-winning film, The Social Network. He kicked-off his career back in 1999 with Arje Shaw’s off-Broadway play, The Gathering, having had his Broadway debut as an understudy for the 1996 revival of Summer and Smoke. He soon later made his screen debut in 1999 on the television series, Get Real. Since then, Eisenberg has gone on to play interesting characters in interesting films, stepping back to his roots to write for stage. He wrote the off-Broadway play, The Revisionist, starring himself with the legendary Vanessa Redgrave. The production is eyeing a return to the main Broadway stage in the 2013-2014 season.

Now You See Me is a new film by Louis Leterrier, best known for his direction of The Transporter 1 & 2 as well as The Incredible Hulk and Clash of the Titans. He returns to the big screen with an ensemble cast to present a story of a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their magical performances and reward their audiences with the money. In addition to Jesse Eisenberg, the film stars Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Mélanie Laurent.
