Official Launch Event of Boutique Monique Vintage & More

Fashion is a major part of Toronto’s character, influenced by so many diverse cultures that reside within the city. Monique Nanton – Founder of Boutique Monique – loved the world of design and fashion from a very young age, something she held on to and journeyed far to fulfill it. Working in advertising, touring Europe and constantly studying, Nanton immersed herself in the world she felt most comfortable with.

Her love of clothing – having been an avid collector for over 20 years – culminated this month in the opening of Boutique Monique Vintage & More, a dream of her’s for a very long time. The store, located on 1024 St. Clair Ave West, features an exquisite collection of beautiful clothing and accessories, including handbags, shoes and much more. The collection features a mixture of pieces from past and present, presenting guests with classic vintage looks side-to-side with modern styles. Each and every piece has been handpicked by Nanton, showcasing her fine taste in unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. She has an extensive men’s clothing line as well; compliment that elegantly dressed lady at the next party!

The Arts Scene had the pleasure of attending the launch of Nanton’s vintage store, attended by fashion enthusiasts, Canadian personalities, family members and friends. It was a wonderful evening of food, drink and A LOT of clothing. Take a look at the photos in the gallery below!
