The Arts Scene captured all the magic from ANOKHI’s 10th Anniversary Gala, attended by the who’s who of the South Asian entertainment world, including world renowned superstar Priyanka Chopra.

For 10 years, ANOKHI Media has presented Canadian audiences with an all-access pass to all facets of the chic and savvy world of South Asian pop culture through their renowned ANOKHI Magazine. They released a special 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition of ANOKHI Magazine last month featuring a premiere section called “The Prestige List”, highlighting notable personalities from the South Asian global community and celebrating their vast contributions and achievements. To celebrate this 10 year milestone, they present their 10th Anniversary Gala Event, hosted at the award-winning Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto. The event featured a red carpet media reception, a three hour awards show and an after-party.

No show is complete without a list of notable attendees and ANOKHI’s gala event had a pretty long one. As mentioned before, highlighting the guest list was internationally acclaimed artist and superstar Priyanka Chopra, who broke into the music industry with her debut single “In My City”. Other notable attendees included British singer-songwriter & rapper Jay Sean, Degrassi star Melinda Shankar, Desi Hits! founders Anjula Acharia-Bath and Ranj Bath, Canadian music artist Anjulie, television host Veronica Chail and many more.

The Arts Scene’s contributing photographer Steve Murakami was on scene to capture all the moments from the red carpet media reception, which can be browsed in the gallery below.
