Support Great Canadian Theatre

Theatre is an experience that is truly remarkable. Every moment is different, no matter how many times you watch it. You have to experience it to truly understand. We are quite familiar with big productions, such as Memphis & War Horse. A lot of care, time and resources go into producing an experience of a life time. However, Theatre is not just about the big productions. Theatre is an experience that can be provided by anyone who has the drive & desire to create something unique. One such production, the focus of this post, begins a limited run in January 2012.

Other People, written by Pulitzer-Prize Finalist Christopher Shinn, is the story about three New Yorkers – Stephen, Petra & Mark – who struggle with sex, desire and their art of writing. The production is co-produced by Mercedes Grundy & Mutual Friends Co-op and is directed by Dora Nominee Aaron Willis. The production stars two time Gemini winner Tatiana Maslany as Petra, Ben Lewis as Stephen & Indrit Kasapi as Mark. Other cast members including Brendan McMurty-Howlett, Mike McPhaden & Richard Lee.

This production, however, needs your help! The costs of putting on a show is always a factor and the production team needs the support to off-set theatre costs. Please CLICK HERE to see how you can help. In return, the production team has a great set of perks to offer.

Canada is a nation that supports the arts like no other country. By supporting great Theatre, we keep the art a live, not only physically but in our hearts as well.

Other People plays a limited engagement from January 18th-28th at the Tank House Theatre in the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, located in the historic Distillery District. For more information, visit their website at www.OtherPeopleToronto.com
