What got you into music? My father and all his albums. Every week we would go the record store, buy a new album and go for a long drive and listen to it. The different genres we listened to really got me into the art of music making and was good training for my craft. After he noticed me scribbling on napkins and scrap paper, he bought me my first guitar and a notebook. The creativity just blossomed from there.
What are your sources of inspiration? Inspiration comes at such sporadic times, but when I’m searching for it, it usually comes from my surrounding environment.
Dream gig? Madison Square Garden. No need for explanation.
Your thoughts on Canadian Music Week? One of the best opportunities for local and emerging artists! I attend every year and this is my second year in a row performing. It’s such a great blend of Toronto’s finest, outstanding out-of-towners, and international pop(ular) artists.
Interesting points others don’t know about you? I like to fly paper airplanes from my condo balcony with messages of love and my email address. I haven’t had any responses yet.
