Opening Night of ‘Belleville’ at the Berkeley Street Theatre

The Company Theatre’s production of Amy Herzog’s Belleville opened April 10th at the Berkeley Street Theatre.

Belleville follows an American couple as they settle to a new life in Paris. However, when unfortunate events occur, the settled life this ordinary-looking couple seems to have starts falling apart. The play is directed Jason Byrne and stars Allan Hawco, Christine Horne, Dalmar Abuzeid and Marsha Regis. Our review of the production coming soon.

The evening had much to celebrate. Firstly, it was the Canadian Premiere of Herzog’s work, last seen off-Broadway in 2013. The production also marked the return of Allan Hawco to the world of theatre after five long years, during which time he spent growing his own show Republic of Doyle. That evenings show and reception were attended by other individuals from the industry as well, as seen in the gallery below.

The Arts Guild attended the post-show reception, an opportunity to celebrate the production and the talents involved. Check out all the photos from the evening below.
