A quick introduction: You see the trees that are dying within a forest and all the animals have disappeared. You hear the faint sound of melodies in the air. Through the fog, you see the group Beggars at the Door rise up through the ground. Beggars at the Door is comprised of four friends from a small town in Southern Ontario called Tottenham. Julian Bachlow fronts the band with keyboards and vocals. Eli Jewett shreds through sound waves with his lead guitar and back up vocals. Eric Clarkson taunts your ears with his plucking bass magic. Corey Kelly brings it all together with his drums.

What attracted you to music? The idea of being able to tell a story and share experiences with one another by hearing and playing music. We think that music has a voice and it is imbedded in all of us, we are all made from the same material found on earth and music vibrates within us in order to unify all sort of ethnicities and cultures together . Music is the universal language and is used to create change and create a different perception on life. We all can keep a rhythm, no matter what disability or position in life we are experiencing and we use this rhythm to survive and feel each others pain or happiness together.

What are your sources of inspiration? Human beings, the universe, tragic losses and life experiences.

What would your dream gig be? To share the stage with bands that have influenced the world and to play in front of thousands of people.

What are your thoughts about the NXNE platform? NXNE gives artists a chance to network, promote and be heard. It gives local bands the ability to reach out to a larger audience at a more intimate level. Future fans could come out of the night and change the bands motivation in the long run to keep going. Most bands want the opportunity to be heard, what better way to do this in one of the most striving music scenes in the world.
